Re: [ARSCLIST] Lookee what I found. Was : LP storage for box sets

As near as I can make out, they have large boxes to store a lot of records (not what I want), thick plastic sleeves that will hold LP jackets (definitely not what I want), and "albums" made of pressboard..exactly what I'm trying to get rid of with this Scherchen set which IS in an album made of pressboard and which weighs a ton.

Can't be that hard to find 'em, especially when Mosaic and Bear Family are still using them..

This allows multiple discs and a booklet to be housed in a box that still matches the same profile and can be displayed/ shelved without deviation from the standard CD dimensions. The terribly wasteful longbox, to my knowledge, thankfully has not been used for anything whatsoever for many, many years.

While we're on the subject of LP albums, does anyone know of a source
for LP boxes..the kind that would hold 3 or 4 LPs, like an opera set?
Not shipping boxes. Bags Unlimited doesn't have anything like
this..the only multiple units they have are 2-LP jackets. They were
still being manufactured in the 90s for Laserdisc sets (Dawn of Sound
etc).
Mosaic records put out their jazz CD sets in LP size boxes, so they must
have a source.
