Re: [ARSCLIST] Stadium Symphony Orchestra concerts

Never mind.Here it is:
http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?Search_Arg=Lewisohn+Stadium+Symphony+Orchestra&Search_Code=FT*&PID=26742&SEQ=20070205001813&CNT=25&HIST=1

Here is an old thread about these records from2003:

http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/byform/mailing-lists/arsclist/2003/11/msg00067.html
I didn't know Stanford archived this list until recently.

As he says here, these VOA transcription Lps are quite rare, and are not in most discographies.I have one of The Boston Symphony somewheres...

Speaking of vinyl radio shows/transcriptions,has anyone else ever seen the ones from the early80s for Howard Mitchell, and The National Symphony ? These were from the late Mutual Radio Network.I own the only one I have ever seen, and I have not seen them in any discography.

You might send this list to the New York Philharmonic Archives, att. Barbara
Haws. I recognize some concerts in here that were not broadcast locally,
much less nationally. You may have the only copies.
