Here's your official invitation to the April symposium, "Reactions to 
the Record: Perspectives on Historic Performance," April 19-21. For 
details see http://music.stanford.edu/Events/StanfordMusicSymposium/.  
There is a significant discount for the entire symposium if you register 
by February 15th.  Malcolm Bilson, Will Crutchfield, the St. Lawrence 
Quartet, and Nicholas Cook, head of the British Center for the History 
and Analysis of Recorded Music, will be there along with other 
performers, musicologists, and specialists in early recordings for three 
days of discussion, workshops and concerts. Although the date is close 
to the ARSC conference, you won't want to miss it.
