Could be right. Dunno. Most classical was digital early on, surely uniformly by 1987-88.

Anyway, this is a project requiring a finite ending, and it's 1985 come heck or high dudgeon. Unless, of course, it gets subsidized.

A lot of major label pop/rock was also still recorded to tape. Most of the leading mastering engineers were reporting less than 50% digital until just the past five years when the bottom fell out of recording budgets.
