IPOD's or portable cd players?
I've had some luck but the vehicle that has a cassette player and no
CD player has Dolby B permanently wired ON so it's tough to make the
CD or MD or DAT (what I've used with it) sound really good. Lots of
level fiddling, but if you keep it hot going in, it's not too bad.
Some cassette adapters will be rejected as they don't provide
resistance to the takeup spool. It must turn somewhat but not too
fast. I think most of the ones now deal with that--if indeed these
are still being made. I have a lifetime supply, I think (2-3), but
don't want to dispose of any.
My newer car with a CD also has a cassette, but I just burn CDs for it.

Richard
