----- Dolby HX is a system of automatically reducing the bias amplitude when 
there is above a certain high frequency signal content - this to avoid 
saturating the tape. It is quite single-pass and does not influence the 
signal as such. The only process that I can imagine would be slightly sorry 
(but I have not yet thought this through completely) is the Plangent 
Processes (TM) procedure
