Here in Toronto, we used to have "Record Shows." These were mainly aimed
at younger collectors of LP's and 45's (this was pre-CD) but there was
a regular group of 78 collectors who used the event to dispose of
duplicates and unwanted discs. For us, it was as much a social event
as anything else. Sadly, most of the 78 contingent died off (literally!)
and the shows now are mainly used-CD exchanges...
