Hi all,

The Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum is searching for audio or film footage of Matthew Henson, African American assistant to Robert Peary, of North Pole fame, and Josephine Peary, Peary's wife. Henson and Josephine Peary were both in the public eye pretty consistently between the North Pole expedition in 1909 and their respective deaths in 1955. According to newspaper records, both individuals were doing radio interviews throughout this period.

Anyone with a lead, we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!
