Another detail:

How should DVDs/CDs be marked for identification? Labels stuck to the
surface are a poor choice. I don't know whether printing directly on the
surface of the DVD/CD speeds degradation. My personal choice is using a pen
with nonreactive ink, writing only in the centre of the disk, because
writing where there's data could conceivably speed degradation.
