Yes, a click in principle has components at all frequencies (from zero
to infinity). In practice, it is of course band limited by the
equipment.

Whether you are going to digitize the signal, or just listen in analog,
there is no substitute for good engineering at every stage.

I think we still have much to learn about the engineering of a sound
reproduction system. Commercial pressures can confuse the issues.
