I've not used it but, lacking this feature, refused to consider it.  And, I
feel, the groove wall balancing task is better accomplished in the analog
domain.

For vertical records which are not precisely vertical, the same option is
also essential.  A hard-wired vertical cartridge is a poor second.

It's a design flaw, plain and simple.
