There is a new bill, SB 1506, wending it's way through the legislative
chambers of Sacramento right now that criminalizes the distribution of
commercial audiovisual works (including sound recordings) over computer
networks. The bill avoids the issue of copyright which I don't fully
understand. Any lawyers on the list care to weigh in?
