[ARSCLIST] commercialism in our midst?

If it's true that anyone in this group is offended by commercialism as
pertains to the resources we have to conserve and enjoy our recordings, then
such persons are fools!  The recordings we cherish were predominantly made
for commercial expolitation via technology developed for commerical
exploitation.  There's nothing intrinsically reprehensible about profit.
It's a means by which useful substances, devices, methods and ideas are made
available to most people and organizations who and which cannot create such
resources.  If someone or some group creates and provides a product and or
service that  can enable me to get better results, or equal results more
efficiently and less costly than alternatives, THEN I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT.
