If you only get a few, you can digitise them from an ordinary stereo
machine and then reverse the play direction of two of the channels.

Most audio software can do this.

It would be tedious to do if there are hundreds of such tapes.

Hi, Don,

There is a _slight_ track mismatch, but it should work.

I have the Tascam track drawing up at my Web site
http://www.richardhess.com/tape/tips.htm click on it for a bigger image.

The bigger issue is that if you do it in two passes I doubt you'll ever be
able to sync up the two different passes, if that's an issue.

I'm more interested in the CompactFlash recorders that Marantz and others
are offering.

Core Sound has some, too.

that use a PDA.

Heck, my Palm T3 comes with built-in voice memo capability--but no HiFi
options.

Cheers,

Richard
