[ARSCLIST] cleaning turpentine on CDs

Does anyone have experience with cleaning turpentine spills on CDs?  I
checked the NIST guide
<http://www.itl.nist.gov/div895/carefordisc/disc_care/cleaning.html> but
found no mention of specific fluids.  Here's the situation, as reported to
me by Rebecca Littman, Music Librarian here at University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee:

> We had a bunch of the "Great Pianists" series returned yesterday by an
> art student and several of them have paint on the outer cases, but
> a couple had turpentine on the discs themselves.

Would isopropyl alcohol help in this case, or is the damage already done?
