Karl Miller quotes the "Ravel Reader":

...and he managed to achieve the same precise tempo for each of the four 78
rpm sides. When edited together, they give one continuous performance with
no sense of discontinuity at the side joins. Some listeners find this
performance dull; I find it mesmerizing.
