[ARSCLIST] Copyleft and the Problem with Music

Copyleft, a term coined in the 1980s, may prove to be a better way than the media control of 'copyright'.

There is an interesting article, as pertains to musicians, composers and end users in the magazine LinuxUser & Developer.

Rip. Mix. and Burn? by Miriam Rainsford, Issue 29, p. 28+.  Miriam is a composer and musician and is publishing the book with GNU Press, 2003: "Copyleft: creativity, technology and freedom?"   The article contains a revealing sidebar that describes who takes what $ from a bands earnings and expenses, by Steve Albini's, "The Problem with Music".
