[ARSCLIST] Gramophone Records Museum's on the Web

The Gramopnone Records Museum and Research Centre of
Ghana recently had a Grant from the Daniel Langlois
Foundation for the Art, Science and Technology, an NGO
based in Montreal. The on going Project "Ghana's
Highlife Music : A Digital Repertoire of Recordings
and Pop Art" entails the Digitizing of the Museum's
Collections of Recorded Ghanaian Highlife Music from
the early the 1920's to the mid 1960's and early 1970.
The Project started in March this year after the
installation of the state of the art Restoration
equipment by the Foundation. The National Library of
Canada on its part in support of the Project, seconded
its Senior Audio Technologist to Ghana for 10 days to
train the Museum Staff in the handling of the
equipments.
The Foundation is hosting this Project on its website.
By this the Director of the Museum, a member of
ARSCLIST is inviting all Members to see what is
presently happening in Ghana.
