This is just an interim letter of thanks to all the people who have
responded so far! I never would have thought of Vaseline or hand lotion as a
not-too-adhesive adhesive for the flaked-off parts! As for playing the
reconstructed side, it looks like Juraj Poliak's fiberoptic player has the
greatest possibility of playing the one badly-damaged side. The only trick
will be in getting the disk and the player together.
In any event, I'll keep monitoring this list for any further comments you
may have!
