Re: arsclist Nagra Stereo

Here's a little file I send out repeatedly. Hope it helps getting to plain
text:

My little file about sending your text. You are guilty of one or
two problems. Check for both. I presume you are using Outlook
Express. Other e-mail software packages work somewhat differently:

First:

You are sending me your message twice, once as plain text and again as
HTML. (This is not what I see, but what is actually transmitted over
the Internet.) When I try to reply or forward your message, what I then
see is only the first few words of each paragraph. The rest of the
paragraph runs off my screen. This makes it extremely difficult to give
individual responses to each sentence within a paragraph.

Unfortunately, the combined plain text and HTML option is the default
feature of much e-mail software and is useful only for those on the other
end with compatible software. Plain text only, on the other hand, can be
read by anyone.

Changing the default option is simple:
Tools|Options|Send|Mail Sending Format
Click the Plain Text Button.

Second:

What you are sending treats each paragraph as one long line. When I
try to reply to your message, the text runs off the screen. To fix this
problem: Tools|Options|Plain Text Settings|Automatically wraps at <type
in> 74|OK|OK.
