Happy New Year, Tommy!

Well, my thoughts were provided in the previous message, but for high-speed tapes (30 in/s in my case) I and several others did hear a difference that was not quantifiable--cleaner, warmer, etc--when using the full-track head over the 2-track head.

I think the azimuth is pretty obvious using your ears <smile>. Noisy record electronics is a plus <smile>...you can actually hear the noise peaking.

Cheers,

Richard
