arsclist Whatever happened to the (American) Crown masters and rights?



Regarding the (American) Crown company, which recorded and issued
records between 1931 and 1933 (if memory serves me correctly), who is
the current rights holder to these recordings? Or did the recordings
revert to the Public Domain because of lack of reregistration? And
whatever happened to the Crown masters? Have any ever turned up?

Also, didn't Eli Oberstein play an important role in the founding of
Crown?

What else is known about the origin and fate of the Crown company?
Were any of its business founders ever interviewed later in life?

Questions, questions...
