arsclist media preservation and access project

Our institution is planning a project to preserve a large collection of 45 and 33-1/3 rpm phonograph recordings and
reel to reel tapes. These are promotional materials for American motion picture films. We would like to create both archival and user copies.

What is the current practice generally recognized by the preservation community to preserve and make such media accessible?
