I have no indication of problems with the "T" version of the FD-50 dehydrator.

Would you please be a little more specific... what faults were encountered.

I have done a series of tests on two of these units with the "T" option
digital timer/thermostat and found it to work well, and hold temperature
consistently over the set time.  Others who have purchased these devices 
have not had any difficulties that I have heard of.  I have no reason to 
believe that other units have not performed as well unless there was an 
initially faulty component specific to an individual unit of that model. 

A little more detailed information would be useful... did you encounter the 
problem and test these yourself or are your remarks heresay?
