Re: arsclist polypropylene and tyvek liners
Could you elaborate on the inadvisability of using a solid Tyvek sleeve as
a long-term storage medium. Is there some proven interaction between CDs
and Tyvek or is there just a lack of evidence to the contrary? I have no
personal knowledge of research in this area, but I would be most gratified
to know if there has been any, since space constraints have forced me to
jettison all my jewel boxes in favor of a Tyvek within vinyl arrangement. I
assumed that there could be some problems with direct CD/vinyl contact, but
also assumed that the Tyvek would provide a non-abrasive buffer. Am I wrong
on this?

Jewel cases are best for many reasons. You have discovered one of them.
Another is that surfaces are suspended such that they are protected from
damage, and debris is not pressed into the plastic during storage.
Tyvek sleeves are acceptable for short-term storage, but should not have
plastic windows. They are not suitable for archival purposes.
I do not understand the meaning of your term "bronzing."
