WAAC Newsletters and handling guide distributed in Costa Rica

Several dozen recent WAAC Newsletters and a Spanish translation of a handling guide that WAAC will soon publish were distributed to our Latin American colleagues at a conservation lecture/workshop program in Costa Rica this summer.

For the workshop, A Guide to Handling Anthropological Museum Collections, written by Nancy Odegaard and illustrated by Grace Katterman, was translated through the Smithsonian's Office for Museum Programs then reviewed and revised by Rosanna and Ada Zubiate. Chris Stavroudis and Lark London Stavroudis designed the booklet and guided its production. "Guia para el manejo de colecciones antropologicas de museos" and the WAAC Newsletters reportedly were enthusiastically received.
