title page
In the usual case the recto of the second leaf of
a book, displaying the full title, the sub-title
(if any), and usually the name of the author, the
edition, the publisher and date of publication
(sometimes the date is printed on the verso of the
same leaf). The verso may also give particulars of
the edition, i.e., the printer (and perhaps his
address), the binder, specifications of type and
paper, registration of copyright, as well as (in
the United States) the Library of Congress card
number, ISBN number, and >CIP information. In
cases where more than one page giving particulars
of the title are present, that giving the fullest
information is the title page. (156 )
