1. The thinnest available MILLBOARD (1) . It is used in some instances for making the SPRING-BACK (1) of a blankbook, as the inner boards of SPLIT BOARDS , and to a considerable extent as a lining board. 2. A thin, flat brush consisting of a relatively small number of camel or squirrel hairs fixed between two pieces of card. It is used by some gilders for picking up gold leaf and placing it on the surface to be gilded. 3. See: TIP-ON . (97 , 159 ,233 )
