Perhaps one of the earliest of the cover marbles.
The cover was first sprinkled with black, followed
by brown, in large drops in three or four places,
which ran down the sides in streams. This was
followed by an application of dilute sulfuric acid
on the areas not covered by the brown. (97 , 152 )
