1. See: SEWING FRAME . 2. A device consisting of two narrow metal plates with small holes about one inch apart, clamped together at one end and secured to the bench. By means of the clamp, books, pamphlets, or sheets to be stabbed through the side are held securely while the sewing holes are drilled through the holes in the plates. (183 )
