rheology
A term pertaining to viscosity behavior, e.g., the
viscosity of an adhesive under conditions of
shear, or the plastic flow properties of an
adhesive. Rheological behavior may be thixotropic,
where viscosity decreases greatly with shear;
dilatant, where viscosity increases greatly with
shear; or Newtonian, where viscosity is directly
proportional to shear. (221 )
