reproduction paper

A base paper used in numerous reproduction processes or systems. It may be sensitized, as in the case of negatives, blueprints, photographic paper, etc., or plain, as that used for electrostatic reproduction paper. It is usually produced from high grade bleached chemical wood pulps and/or cotton fiber pulps in basis weights ranging from 11 to 32 pounds (17 X 22). It is generally well sized and its more important properties include chemical purity, good wet and dry strengths, and a relatively high degree of permanence. (17 )
