A crystalline aromatic hydrocarbon (Cl(,H,), obtained from coal tar, that is sometimes used to destroy or inhibit the spread of bookworms, and is also spread among dried goatskins to lessen the danger of attacks by insects during shipment and storage. (83 , 363 )
