marbling brushes

Fine bristle brushes, set in hard rubber and secured in metal ferrules. They are generally from 3/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter. The larger brushes are used for the ground color in drawn marbles, while the smaller ones are used for the subsequent colors. The bristles of marbling brushes should be formed into a curved shape so as to give a freer motion when dropping the colors.
