laminated board
A binder's, or other type of board built up in
layers by pasting or gluing two or more plies of
board together either with the grain (machine)
direction of the boards running in the same
direction (parallel laminated) or at right angles
to each other (cross laminated), or by applying
paper, plastic film, or other sheet material, to
one or both sides of a board. Laminated boards are
often used in the binding and rebinding of large
books, such as art folios, large periodicals, and
the like.
