khari
A salt which occurs as an efflorescence on the
ground in certain areas of India. It contains
approximately 60% sodium sulfate, 20% magnesium
sulfate, and 5% sodium chloride. It is used in DRY-SALTING hides and
skins largely in the area where it is found.
