ink receptivity

That property of a paper, cloth, etc., that allows it to accept ink in printing and blocking. The capability of the ink to wet the printing surface is essential and in many cases the ability of the paper to absorb the ink vehicle is also important. See also: ABSORBENCY ;PRINTABILITY ;RECEPTIVITY .
