illustration board
A board used primarily for the application of ink
and water color. It is made by pasting drawing
paper to one or both sides of a board, one that is
usually filled, pulp-lined, or pasted. The usual
properties of the drawing paper, such as finish
and sizing, are essential, but hard sizing and
good erasing quality are of greatest importance.
The finished board should be as free as possible
from warping. The basis weight is ] 50 pounds (] 7
x 22), and the thickness is 0.0325 inch.
