extending inward from the bellies, and consisting
actually of the pattern of the blood vessels of
the skin projected onto the grain surface. 2.
Slight variations in the surface appearance of a
paper caused by several factors, including the
impressions of wires and felts of the papermaking
machine, irregular distribution of color, uneven
