chrome liquor

A solution of basic chromic salt used in CHROME TANNING leather. It is prepared by treating a strong solution of sodium dichromate (Na 2 Cr 2 O 7 . 2H 2 O) with a reducing agent, such as sulfur dioxide (SO), or a mixture of glucose and sulfuric acid. (305 )
