bagasse pulp
A paper pulp obtained from the crushed stalks of
sugar cane (usually considered to be Saccharum
officinarum), following the extraction of the
juices. The pulp is prepared for use by mechanical
disintegration in water, either with or without
chemical treatment. The pulp produced is coarse.
