Princeton

The Princeton Battle Monument, Frederick William MacMonnies, 1908-1922
This monument marks January 3, 1777, the day General and future President George Washington led American soldiers to a victory over British troops in the Battle of Princeton.

Why do you think sculptures are built to represent battles? Besides war, can you think of other important moments in history that should be honored?
