Two larger-than-life Gila monster lizards rest between traffic lanes on the Irvington Road Bridge. The lizards face opposite directions at the center of the bridge. With their long tongues extended, each Gila monster is nearly 53 feet long. Architect Robert Vint worked with a team of fabricators to create these beautifully ornate reptiles. They are covered with a colorful mosaic of broken ceramic tiles.
