Phoenix

The Wall Cycle to Ocotillo by Mags Harries and Lajos Heder consists of 35 sculptures located on 20 sites along a five-mile stretch of Squaw Peak Parkway. Many of the pieces are colossal vases and pots nearly 14 feet tall. The designs, many of which have Hopi or Navajo imagery, were created by Hopi-Laguna artist Howard Sice. One vessel next to a bike path, called the Giant Car Container Vessel, is terra cotta colored with oval panels that are made like windows you can see through. Cars are painted between the panels to make it look as if cars are stacked up like cookies in a jar.
