Two Dragons (Pedro Silva, 1981)
Kids, parents and neighbors worked with the artist Pedro Silva to make these play sculptures. In fact, the artist intended only one large dragon sculpture, but added a second at the kids' suggestion. Pictures and designs using fragments of tile cover the dragons. Called "mosaics", the pieces were popping off because the temperature inside the dragons was a lot different from the outside the dragons. It was also too moist inside the sculptures.
