Sam Houston was a colorful and impressive figure. He was a senator for two different states, adopted Cherokee citizenship, and was the first and only president of the Republic of Texas. After Texas became a state, he ran successfully for governor. When you look at this sculpture, do you think it represents his accomplishments well?
