Frank Fools Crow by T. Jay Warren, 1992
Frank Fools Crow was a Lakota Medicine Man, healer, and spiritual leader who lived to be almost 100 years old. He helped many people by teaching them the traditional ways of the Lakota people, including ceremonies such as the Sun Dance. He helped one man in particular who was haunted by nightmares after serving in Vietnam. That man called Frank Fools Crow "grandfather" even though they weren't related. Any ideas why? As a symbol of gratitude, that man and his friends made this sculpture honoring Frank Fool's Crow.

Draw a picture of someone who has helped you. People who visit the sculpture bring gifts for the memory of Fool's Crow. What three gifts you would bring to someone who has helped you?
