Indiana is home to the Indianapolis 500, Larry Bird, David Letterman, Wilbur Wright, and tons of outdoor sculptures! Volunteers in the Hoosier State found 1,231 outdoor sculptures during their 1992 survey. Among the most active of these volunteers were first- through eighth-grade students at St. Jude's Catholic School in Fort Wayne. The students conducted research on sculptures for a catalog and organized a trolley tour of outdoor sculpture in their city.
