Re: Burroughs

We found Borroughs to be absolutely wonderful to work with.  We just finished moving our collection of 30,000 pieces of costume and textiles to the new facility they helped us design.  We have posted a web page about the move including details on the design of the storage units on the Philadelphia Museum of Art Web Site.    http://www.philamuseum.org/collections/22-398-552-440.html

Linda Gottfried, the Borroughs product manager and I will be giving a paper about the project at the Textile Specialty Group session at AIC.  Kevin O’Brien, from O’Brien Systems, who installed the cabinets, is also planning to be there.  Feel free to contact me directly if you have any other questions.

Does anyone have any good or bad experiences using Burroughs cabinetry for textile storage?  Mostly for ethnographic textiles, not hanging costume collections.

Thanks,

Diana
