Re: An email from ICON reTCC closure - please take 2 mins to add a comment

I did my part but I didn't drag them down with a lot of verbage. My message
was short and to the point. Thanks for the heads-up.
Best regards,

Dear all

Icon has assisted Simon Tait to write this article on the TCC closure in The
Times. The online version gives readers the chance to comment in the 'Have
Your Say' box at the bottom. Please will you do so BECAUSE:

1. A high rate of feedback demonstrates to the editor that there is wide
interest in the story. This may help Simon do a follow story at a later
date.

2. Simon Cane sent in a letter to the Times on behalf of our Board which
was not published. If the editors see it is big news there is a chance our
letter will get published now.

3. We also helped Maev Kennedy write a piece for the Guardian but it was
'spiked'. It will help her get her editors to run the piece in The Guardian
if there is a good response to the story in the Times.
